Day 1:
Arrival at Chisinau. Meet and assist by your tour guide and transfer from airport to your 4* hotel. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight in Chisinau. In the afternoon you will have a panoramic tour of Chisinau, including visits to the Museum of Natural History and Ethnography (built in 1905), the National History Museum, the Parliament, the City Hall, the Opera House, the Water Tower, the Triumph Arch, the Saint Pantelemon Church, and Birth of the Lord Cathedral.
Day 2:
After breakfast transfer to the complex of the Churchi Monastery, surrounded by a high stone wall and endowed with towers at each corner, creating the image of a fortress. Drive to Chateau Vartely Winery. Lunch. Proceed to the medieval town of Orheiul Vechi, an open air museum complex. The remnants of the first human settlements were found in the stone caverns there. Return to Chisinau for dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
After breakfast transfer to Capriana Monastery (1429), which for a long period of time acted as the residence of the Moldovian archbishop. Being closed and devastated in the post-war years, it was one of the first monasteries that reopened in 1989, becoming soon the symbol of national revival. Continue to Casa Parinteasca (the parents’ house) where you become acquainted with the old Moldovian customs and traditions and enjoy traditional homemade peasant dishes and wines. Continue to Milestii Mici to visit the largest underground wine gallery. Return to Chisinau for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Breakfast. Transfer to Chitcani village to visit its monastery that houses icons from the 18th-20th centuries. View crosses, books, priest vestments, and other relics. Leave Chitcani village for Tiraspol, a city that seems to be behind the times. Sightseeing tour of the city includes the football complex “Sheriff,” a remarkable impressive building. Lunch. Return to Chisinau for dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the open air Central Food Market in Chissinau. Leave Chissinau for Purcari village to visit the French-style castle, Purcari Winery, an extraordinary monument built in 21st century. The winery is famous all over the world for the legendary wine “Negru de Purcari,” a genuine paradise elixir. They say it is being enjoyed by Queen’s Elizabeth II court. After lunch transfer to your next destination.
